My background includes both in-person and online teaching as well as the development of interactive educational materials for publishers, universities, educational organizations, corporations, government agencies, and museums. I hold a Certificate in Instructional Technology from the Graduate School of Education, University of Massachusetts, Boston, and have extensive knowledge of pedagogical and assessment models such as ADDIE and SAM.

I work with a variety of software and storyboard templates, source images, and animations, and work with designers and programmers to develop:

CineLearning Productions, Mesa, AZ

Research and write scripts and interactive scenario-based educational materials for business managers, K-12 students, and adult learners. Subcontracts include business-oriented video projects for Arizona WIC, Soundview, Hanley Woods, and interactive middle/high school web design courses Toolwire.



Developed and created mini-classes for MediaBistro using Camtasia suite. Topics included Writing Web Video Scripts, Writing for the Education Market, etc.



Scholastic Publishing, Inc., New York, NY

Developed and wrote interactive games for the Magic School Bus website, including Space Chase (about the planets of the solar system) and Dinosaur News (comparing the sizes of dinosaurs).



Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA:
 Developed, wrote and recorded two multi-session, interactive distance learning courses and assessments for the Drexel University Goodwin College. Courses focused on topics in non-profit management. 
Managed, developed, and wrote multimedia interactive curriculum for museum professionals to provide training in working with autistic visitors. Develop and write interactive, online lessons, activities, modules and assessments in ELA and STEM for high school and elementary-aged students.

Goddard Space Flight Center, Baltimore, MD: Researched and developed multimedia presentations on Earth observation projects using visualizations created by researchers at the Goddard Space Flight Center.

Harcourt McGraw-Hill, New York NY: As a subcontractor for Six Red Marbles and Pangaea Tools, developed lesson goals, outlines, and scripts for HMH digital science textbooks for grades K-8.

Harvard Business Publishing, Cambridge, MA: Work with business "gurus" to develop elearning scripts for business managers and business students.

McGraw Hill: Work with editors to develop the Connect online educational product, featuring units on all aspects of English language, grammar, reading, and writing.

Nettype/NewGen, Bridgeport, CT: As a subcontractor for major publishing projects, research and develop educational video scripts, storyboards, and multimedia textbooks.

Pearson Publishing, Boston MA: As subcontractor, researched, developed and wrote a series of short videos on study skills as part of 21st Century Study Skills curriculum. Researched and wrote digital lessons on math, world history. 


TUTS+: Developed and wrote multiple business management tutorials for a major business website.

University of Pennsylvania College of General Studies: As an instructor for over decade, designed and taught courses for the Non-Profit Certificate Program including Grant Writing, Fundraising Writing, Project Evaluation, and Report Writing; also taught writing-related courses including The Business of Freelance Writing, Writing for an Editor, and Creative Freelance Writing.
